Could pain really be the source of our magic?

Amidst it all, I’ve come to understand that on the other side, I’ve been blessed with profound clarity and a heart softened by grace. This journey is not for the faint-hearted, yet I’m deeply grateful for the divine gifts that empower me to transmute it all into something greater.

"I am my mothers becoming"
6/10/25

If I could go back in time to fix one thing,
it would be my mother’s childhood—

The way it was taken from her at such a young age,
how she struggled and worked so hard to provide for her family - always in a state of survival
shaping her into the distant mother she became.

But time whispered a quiet truth:
had I spared her from it all,
I would have never been born.

I am my mother’s becoming—
the soft victory of her survival.

I am my ancestors’ greatest manifestation—the living echo of every prayer they whispered into the dark.

maybe I'm just here to recognize the pain she never made space for

and to make something beautiful out of it
